Agnes Finney’s My Precious is like Chicken Soup for the Soul

This beautyful offering is now available at My Precious /secondlife/Agnes%20Finney/133/127/23

What can I say? I love to play dress up. Even when I have nothing to do inworld, I typically wear a cocktail length dress. I’m not sure why, I certainly don’t feel this need in real life. But I suppose in real life it’s because I live in a little beach town with a population of around 900, though I am sure they must have counted when the tourists and snowbirds were in town because it seems much smaller. So living more in the flip-flop and T-shirt capital of the world than a Fashion Mecca, I just love to live my second life filled with glam elegance.

Like so many avatars looking for this glamorous lifestyle, I have been an avid My Precious fan since my inaugural visit to Second Life. We often sway to one designer or another, stay a while and then wander on to other styles but with Agnes Finney, I’ve never wandered away. She consistently brings out designs that are gorgeous on the wearer, in tune to finding our inner romantic hearts, and guaranteed to turn the heads of those around us.

This dress, the Lisa in a rich champagne, just oozes femininity. I just love how the skirt plays wistfully about the knees when you move. The bodice is formfitting with a beautifully accentuating black lace banding at the waist and is strapless, showing to perfection the sexy curves of the shoulders and neck. The second I put this dress on I was in love with it. Have you ever had the kind of day where you are just so tired? Yesterday was this day for me, but the moment I put this dress on my mood lightened, I remembered all those days of my youth when I truly believed I was a little princess. I did circles to watch the skirt twirl and felt like a teenager dressing for the prom. Jeans are fine, but I highly recommend we all bring out our inner princess from time to time. Trust me, you will be glad you did. <3

I just love to put on a gorgeous gown, but I really, really love putting on a gorgeous gown and feeling uber feminine when wearing it!

At designer Agnes Finney’s My Precious store, she has created so many different styles, every woman can find the one perfect dress that makes her feel this way. That is exactly how I felt when I put on the new Ingrid gown.

The bodice is a romantic lace, ruffled for feminine appeal, the waist accentuated with a black velvet banding. The voluminous skirt is layers upon layers of black lace, oh so elegant and glamorous. The look is complete with the addition of a breezy, filmy sheer scarf.

The thing I love the most about the dress is the dramatic appeal. As you may know, I love art, I love pictures and I am always so pleased to find a dress that exudes drama and just the windy movements of this gown creates its own appeal. I have to say, when I wore this dress for my friend Thati Boucher to photograph, I felt, just as the picture turned out, a little like Katherine of Wuthering Heights. see her picture here: Link
So if you wish to wear any old gown, its easy to choose, if you want to wear a gown with impact, thats picture perfect every time, check out Agnes Finney’s My Precious.

I repeat: cat, hat; in French, chat, chapeau; in Spanish, el gato in a sombrero

This gorgeous hat is now available at My Precious

One of my favorite experiences growing up was the TV “movie” Dr. Seuss’s “Cat in the Hat.” If you peruse my flickr, you will see I wear them, well, quite often to say the least. Though I can’t truly say the Cat in the Hat has caused my obsessive love oh hats, I like to think it had something to do with it because I always find hats to be the perfect pick me up to a otherwise dull dress-up day.

Anyone who has been in Second Life for any length of time remembers how atrocious hats used to be, OMGoodness, do you recall? First of all, they were HUGE! To make matters worse, your hairs would stick out everywhere on them! It was not a happy time to be addicted to hats, for sure. But now, wow, there are so many incredible hats, and even hats with hairs out there on the market. When I do an art pic, I love to wear hats, they add an added dimension of focal point to the artwork.

One of my favorite hatmakers is Agnes Finney. She makes the most incredible hats to sell in her My Precious stores, from the elegant to the extraordinary, she has made them all. Forgive first, that this is only a snapshot of a hat that would be much the more beautiful with a conscientuous photographer, but even with my limited skills with photoshop, you can see what a luscious work of art it truly is. This hat is called the Angel Hope Feather and it lives completely to its name. It has the most delightful flower to bring a smile to the face, sweet feathers to uplift the spirits and is an elegant addition to whatever outfit you are wearing. If you have a special event planned, or want to create a favored picture, I would suggest checking them out. I know you will not be disappointed. I know I wasn’t <3

Agnes Finney’s My Precious Fashion House

In my shopping travels I always search about for the different, the extreme, and the incredible designs in SL. When I find the piece that is just perfection in my opinion, I have a picture done in what I hope is an artistic form because I always wish to give kudos to those designs that are just a little (or oft, so much more) above the rest.

One of these designers, the ones I go back to over and over again because their designs are so picture worthy is Agnes Finney. I just adore her work with lace, fur, fluff and incredible skirt lines. Wearing a My Precious gown truly makes a fashionista feel like a princess.

The gown shown, the Agnes Arden has a stunningly sexy lace bodice that hugs tightly in the right places and a gorgeous frothy, voluminous skirt. The layer upon layer of silky fabric is sheer perfection when being waltzed about the ballroom and simply stunning when walking the runway!

Agnes Finney My Precious not only has incredible designs, they have a mass of choices. Something for all of your needs whether its cocktail, formal or casual chic! I simply love her creations and hope you will too!
