There are a few designers on the grid who you know always, consistently create incredibly well made outfits. You know when you unpack the bag, the outfit is going to be very much like what you saw on the vendor. Amutey Decuir is just such a designer, she is creative, she is smart and she knows how to design for every avatar. One of the best things about Bliss Couture is it is one of those one stop shop places that really work well for people like me with little time to spend dawdling over a day of shopping. You know the kind of store, the kind where there is just about everything you could need? You can throw jeans and furs in the bag with your gown and party wear, throw in some hairs and hats and say done. But convenience aside, the clothes are always simply divine and perfect when worn.
In this first picture, I did what I like to call a “5 Minute Throw Down” where you give yourself 5 minutes to run through the store and grab items to blog. The point is to not think about it, but just snatch and grab. Log off, and when you come back, put on what you purchased and see how it “fits.” For one thing, it trains your eye to pick out items complimentary in contrast quickly but also it helps you to learn and remember your inventory, which I think is a key to any successful modeling career. Think of it as your own personal quick style contest and you are always the winner! I wanted to go casual so I could show the spectrum of goodies at Bliss Couture and fell instantly in love with these groovy NuNu bell bottom jeans. The second item I purchased was this exquisite Jennifer Ruffles Bolero in the most scrumptious shade of purple. That was all she wrote. I teamed the outfit with jewelry from Mandala <3, and a watch from Ryca. I recently read in a fashion magazine that corsets were the rage this season, so I pulled out one from my constant companion, Angel Dessous. Grabbed my purse from Baiastice and my hairs were lovingly coiffed at Boon. And the finished look is one I would proudly wear to any casual event where I log in, throw something on and show up. Its hip, it’s fun, and I like the kicky “dressy messy” feel of the entire ensemble.
As a contrast, this gown was my bridesmaids dress for the wedding of Federica and Jace. The color is gorgeous, the skirt mermaid styled with “tail-feathered” accenting in the back. The shimmery color blocking accentuates a womanly waist and the sleeveless bodice has a soft and sexy feathery concoction to frame the lovely face of its wearer. I topped with a simply do from Vanity Hair and done. Included in this pic, is the Ophelia Mink shrug, proudly worn on the mannequin. See? Bliss Couture changes anyone’s outlook.
