Ahhhh Good times, Good friends…

From May 19th to 28th 2012, the Home and Garden Expo is taking place, so if you have a dream to create your one of a kind “home away from home” now is the time to get out there and explore all that is available, and the best part is the event benefits Relay For Life, an organization I am very passionate about having been touched by cancer in my real life. Envision BBQ grill

These are the final two items I am showing from the Home and Garden Expo, the first is from Envision and is the “King BBQ grill.” One of the fun things to do in SL is to meet up with a group of friends, dance, listen to music, laugh, watch the sun set on the horizon and grill up a nice dinner. With the King BBQ grill the possibilities are endless. You have the grill, the music and the friends, why not have your party this weekend? Taxi to Envisions: Taxi:

Park Place chillout

As the day closes to the weekend, nothing is more sheer perfection than this “Chill Out” set from Park Place. The set includes the chair and table, the tea and book were from Katy’s Kreations, blogged earlier, but work just as well here as I mellow out, enjoying the scenery, because this truly is “the end” of my coverage of the event. I think for the rest of the weekend I will just sneak on over to the Home and Garden Expo and enjoy the treasures by wandering aimlessly through the SIMS. If you want to check out this awesome set, I’ve saved you a ride. Taxi:

Silent Woods Sita

Two more offerings from the Home and Garden Expo, the first is from Silent Woods and is the “sita.” I pulled this out of the box on a lazy Sunday, plunked myself down in it and enjoyed a nice cup of coffee (included). The table and chair are beautifully detailed and perfect for a moments respite on a sundry and lazy Sunday. The chair has multiple positions so you are not limited in possibilities. To find this divinely elegant seating arrangement, just follow this TP: Taxi:

Katy's Kreations

Our second design is from Katy’s Kreations and includes the table, sidebar, book and iced tea set. I love a good Sunday, snuggled in with a book and a gorgeous day out my window. Swing by and pick up this gorgeous set, it’s the perfect finishing touch to any home. Here you are, I’ve even included the TP for you: Taxi:

booshtopia

From time to time, I hear about animals that are all the rage in Second Life. I think it started out with chickens about four or five years ago. What’s the world coming to when a majority of the population of Second Life is chicken farmers? Living alone, I often thought that perhaps I would get a cat. But then I kept having this recurring “cat lady” nightmare of awakening in the middle of the night with a dozen cat’s lying on top of me and hearing a whispered “smother her, smother her.” So I’ve always been the God Aunt to my friends various pets, scritch the ears a couple of times and move on. The Home and Garden Expo this year includes an entire area for these Breedable type pets, so being a clueless individual, I was excited to take on one participant, so my foray into the world of BOOSHIES began.

Think about those days when you come home from work exhausted and just want to sit down and watch your favorite program on the TV. Your significant other or spouse obviously has another agenda because they won’t stop talking long enough for you to hear your show. And at that moment, when the light hits them just right, you think to yourself, “I think I could love you forever… if you were a dog (cat, meero, insert favorite pet here)” Oh come on, I can’t possibly be the only person with this thought, can I? Well, never fear! Booshies are here; your spouse can now be a versatile, helpful spouse in a cute and cuddly exterior. These are not “pets” these are animal avatars and there is an entire fantasy plain of cyberspace dedicated to them. To read more about this creative domain, check out them out here: link:

I hope you get a chance to check out all of the different breeds of animals that are yours to enjoy in Second Life. Think about it, you can have that horse, or booshie you always wanted with no fuss or mess. Priceless.

To Feel at Home, Stay at Home~ Clifton Fadiman

For the next couple days, twice a day, I am going to cover an event very dear to me. Not much of a carouser, bookish by nature, when I am not inworld modeling, I spend so much of my time with my true passion, interior design and gardening. If I could have taken a different path in real life, this is an avenue I would have definitely traveled towards. But this is one of the wonders of Second Life. We can explore these paths not taken. Twiggy Bowl mesh

A few days ago, when a note circulated about blogging for Leezu! at the Home and Garden Expo, to accept was truly a “no-brainer” for me. Afer all, I’ve been living in a Leezu! house for years. I love the quality. Leezu Baxter puts as much detail into her homewares as she does with her clothes design. This first picture is the “Twiggy Bowl” in Mesh, its incredibly well made, I just threw some fruit in it and snapped a simple picture. Sometimes, perfect interior design is in the visual affect of the smallest of details. This is, quite simply, divine! Taxi:

Studio Ring Tablelamp

The second item is this lamp, both are the RFL items of this designer, so to purchase them gives 100% of the proceeds to the Relay for Life charity. YAY! The incredible Mesh Lamp, “Studio Ring” Table Lamp is a well detailed furnishing. As you can see the detailing is a heavily forged metal, the shade oblong and elegant. Just the sort of piece to put into any masculine or urban interior design. It’s Spring! Make yours special by dusting out the old and putting some new design touches on your crib. Check out these two housewares and all the items available from Leezu! here: Taxi:
