Well I have to say, I am simply amazed. Last year someone had written a rather scathing comment about me on agency report, calling me a “scene girl.” It was immediately removed, but not before I painfully read it. In the ensuing days I wrote a response and posted it on my flickr, ironically under the profile picture the person on FB just “borrowed.” That pic, by Thati Boucher, has had 1,011 hits, 114 faves and 119 comments. I said then that I have been so incredibly blessed in my Second Life (my first too, but this blog is about you all). I don’t think I have ever met anyone in Second Life I do not like, and I am not just saying that. You all inspire me every single day. You inspire me to create, to be nice, to be helpful and to be silent when needed and to just think. The take from, yep, you don’t get by without one, keep being who you are because in you all I feel this wonderful hope for all that the real world can accomplish and you all have written your names on my heart with indelible ink.

I love Kungler’s, AvaGardner Kungler and Barbra Kungler know fashion, whether its for clothes or their incredibly Earthy jewelry. The Jewelry is large enough to be visible on the runway, but has an Earthy feel that completely matches my inner Earth Mother. The choices of colors, metals, and stones are always, simply divine! If you get a chance, check out Kungler’s today. I know they have something perfect for everyone! I like them so much, I even included the taxi for you! Taxi:

As an aside, for this New Year, I’ve decided to retire, retire. I know, I did this last year, right? I will continue to do charity work. Relay for Life is coming up, and thats one of my fave projects for personal reasons, so look for it! But blogging for designer’s singularly, I think I am too tired. I am doing a disservice to blog for designers because by the time I actually blog the items, they’ve already been seen everywhere on the grid. I am not slow, just suffer a little from ADHD, I take the pictures, but then in my random Cao way, say “hey! I want to blog such and such” and wander away from the project I was working on. So, well thats it today! Love the day you are in!

I love victorian novels. It seems they knew how to make you feel the wintry winds and snows as they fall in flurry’s about the novels characters. Brrrrr makes me shiver to read but its such a wonderful vision. I think if I was a character in a novel, I’d wear one of these gorgeously heavy gowns like above. This is the new gown from Angel Dessous called “Adele.” I admit I don’t wear gowns very often, but this would be the one I would choose. I can’t tell you how honored I was/am that Nando Korobase of Angel Dessous asked me if I would do the advertisement! Thank you Nando and Julie Hastings, my dear friend and wonderful photographer! <3 I adore you both so much! And readers? Your at the top of my list of fave people as well! I get to speak to so many of you inworld and I just love it. Thanks for the encouragement, friendship and all the smiles! If you get a chance, check out all the wonderful inventory at Angel Dessous, see? I'm in the Christmas spirit, I even included the taxi for you! Taxi:

Yep, its here again. Another “high gravity” Monday. I don’t know why, but Mondays always weigh so heavily on me. I suppose it could mean I am actually living and enjoying the weekends, and I must because they sure fly by! So, in respect for the serious weighty-ness of the day, a nice short blog today. YAY! At 12:00 PM SLT, it’s time again for Fashion Limited and Limited Bazaar so get your sneaker’s on and get ready to runnnnnn as my Auntie Mimmi would say. This adorable hat is one of *SoliDea FoliEs* additions to the event. And look, it’s 100% Cao, because I LOVE it with its classic bowler with a netting and flowered twist to give it a feminine appeal. Don’t miss out, you will be sad you did!

Don’t be scared to experiment with color, and always be happy to try a designer that is new to you. There are no mistakes, if you find you don’t like it, discard and move on. But, until you explore, you never know what you will find. Fashion is not static and in its ever changing nature, perhaps you will be the lucky one who discovers the newest “big thing.” Have fun this weekend and if you get a chance, catch some of the shows from BLVD Model Management and Best of Second Life Fashion Week. Who knows, you might even see a Cao wandering around on the runway!

Just a short notice on the above, I simply love the soon to be released “Bangladesh” babydoll dress from [LD] Major. [LD]Major is always right on with the perfect patterns, colors and fabrics! This item is an exclusive to The Couturier’s Dock, which is beginning another round September 13th, so mark those calendars! The accompanying style is laid back and relaxing with the Mon Tissu, “openwork” wedges in mustard, a gorgeous necklace “Mariri” from Kungler’s Extra. And what better way to crown myself in comfort than the “Tubular Bells” hair from Vanity Hair and the “Imperium” hat from .Shi? I could find no more comforting way to spend the afternoon strolling through my yard and thinking about the events of the day.

I have to admit, I hardly slept last night, and this morning I awoke with hurt feelings. I don’t know why I am mentioning it here, I honestly don’t. But perhaps in the telling, I will learn about myself and you will learn from my mistake. You see, I was told I would have to recast for OGlam agency and it really upset me. I don’t know why, I am retired, right? But I honestly felt I had failed, and I always take very seriously when I let someone down, even in a Second Life. But as the day wore on, and I spoke a couple of times with my friend Matteo, the CEO of OGlam, I realized he was right. So just a note to up and coming models, you get from the agency exactly what you put into it. Don’t think of it just as the agency committing to give you jobs at your convenience, remember, you are committing to giving in return, giving time, giving professional style and giving winning attitude. I always gave OGlam the latter two, but in retirement I am too stingy with the first rule, time. If Matteo were to ask me to participate in any function with the agency, I will still do so, with full enthusiasm and support, but for the most part, I wish the agency every success they can find. As for you all, get out there, cast! And Enjoy! It’s your time to take over the grid and shine! So get styling, and always be beautyful!

I was a little down this morning about a random comment, so I was going to skip today’s blog and just stay mellow and listen to music when I ran across Nikki Sixx’s (Motley Crue et,al) “Life is Beautiful” on my MP3 player. Life Is Beautiful is about Sixx’s past drug addiction, the difficulties he encountered while addicted. And as we all hope of those we love who live in addiction we always hope they reach the realization that in reality, life is a beautiful thing, worthy of living. If you are sad or upset, take a moment and look outward, enjoy the smile of a newborn, a flower growing in a rocky area, hear the sound of a bird whistling to the winds or the purring of a cat. Sometimes we focus that mental camera inward too much, so I love to change my view by opening doors for strangers, smiling like I mean it and often just saying hallo. Life can be an amazing adventure, but really it is only what we put into it that measures what we receive from it. If you open your heart just a little, let the sun shine on the dusty dark depths, you will be amazed at the new lightness of heart you feel. Trust me, I am not trying to treat others pain with frivolity, I myself have lived with tragedies that seem insurmountable. I know in all things a little darkness will grow, but I think I am just giving all of you a wish gift from me, I am hoping each of you will have a moment of peace, a moment of joy and a long moment of childlike happiness in your adulthood. *falls of soapbox*

Recently, on Facebook, I had the honor of meeting Second Life designer/creator Elettra Gausman of Orage Creations (*OC*) and what a wonderfully funny and nice person she is! Curiosity piqued, I wandered over to the Marketplace and purchased a dress I immediately fell in love with, “parfum.” Well I failed to listen to myself, I always preach to wear only colors that work with your skin season, and apparently beige isn’t it. The gown was gorgeous, so the problem was all me. I explained the problem with Elettra and being the well informed and creative person she is, she dropped a few outfits to me in colors that work with my winter skin tones. I was instantly in love with the black cocktail “Fifi” this is the sort of elegant evening attire I lean to in normal situations. I threw on some Miamai hairs and Similar Italian shoes and I was done!

I was simply amazed by the “Royal” gown as well. It is a scrumptious sapphire shade of blue in a heavy satin. The sway of the skirt and bodice ruffles pulls the viewer’s up to the wearer’s lovely face. A gown with this much drama needs very little fuss and frill so I included a simple Purple Moon necklace, Donna Flora earrings and the gorgeous Purple Moon updo. As an aside, I’ve included the “Parfum” gown because the gown would look so divine on so many of you, and honestly, when I added the brand new Kungler’s “Nirvana” jewelry in a rich ruby, it kind of created a bit of a color block between the gown and my face, giving me back some of my color.

I enjoyed the offerings of this designer so much, I hope you will check out her store today! MuWah! have a gorgeous day! Taxi:

HOPE FOR EMILIA is an exciting event that will last from July 22 to August 9, 2012 and will include a Summer Fashion Fair, fashion shows, an art expo and entertainment events to fundraise for the victims of earthquakes in Emilia, Italy. My first blog of this event, I wanted to show you three of the summer sundresses being sold exclusively at the event. I purposely kept the accessories, hair and pose the same, because in the end, for this project, it’s not about the model, or the picture, but about the exclusive items you can purchase. Please note, 100%, yes, 100% of the proceeds of the sale go to the Emilia victims.

As most of the world is aware, the northern region of Italy has been hit by devastating earthquakes during the last several months. The first earthquake, registering a magnitude of 6.1, struck in the Emilia-Romagna region, on May 20th of 2012. Two aftershocks with a magnitude of 5.2 occurred a few hours after the main event, and seven people were killed. Nine days later, on May 29th, an additional earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 struck the same area causing an additional eighteen deaths and widespread damage, particularly to buildings already weakened by the May 20th earthquake. And again on June 3rd, 4th and 6th, aftershocks struck the region, causing panic among terrified people, who still don’t know if this incubus is going to continue. The damages of these earthquakes are terrible: 26 people died, and thousands are homeless, living in tents. The whole economy of the country was brought to its knees.

“Hope for Emilia” aims to fundraise to help the many victims of the earthquakes: 100% of the funds raised with this event will be donated to victims of the earthquake through the bank account opened by Emilia-Romagna region (

The “Hope for Emilia” team of volunteers is busy organizing this important event which we hope will touch the lives of those affected by the natural disaster in Emilia.

Kungler’s – Hope for Emilia

The grand opening of the “Hope for Emilia” Fashion Fair will take place on Sunday July 22. At this fair, each of the many talented designers supporting this worthy cause has agreed to offer an exclusive item. The full proceeds of the sales of the exclusive items will be donated to assist the citizens whose lives were affected by the earthquakes in Emilia. Fashion shows highlighting our designers’ exclusive creations are planned for July 29th and August 5th, respectively.

Also exciting is the Art Exhibition to take place beginning on August 3rd, at which artistic creations from the grid’s most accomplished artists will be on display and available for purchase.

Our event will be held at two sims which have been graciously donated to us by Alexandar Vargas, and we are delighted to have Setsuna Infinity providing the build. A LM of the sims will be provided on July 22nd, 2012.
