Can't Find Anything to Wear?

Don’t worry about it! On March 29, 2013 at 1:00PM SLT, we are starting a new round of The Couturier’s Dock, featuring creatively minded designers, to you, our creatively minded consumer’s. Welcome to the Couturier’s Dock! We are Salimar Art SIM and it’s time to recycle this fun event and the inventory will disappear quickly and once the current inventory is gone, it is gone. We do not refill stock so don’t miss out on some of the incredible finds at the Couturier’s Dock. We purposely kept our designer’s list limited to some of the designers we feel have niched their own genre of fashion so the items available to you will be unique, limited to lots of 50 units, will be affordable at a price range of 50 to 500 Lindens (50% off the main store price) and we hope what you find will be a treasured addition to your Second Life inventory. We are very happy to have all of these dedicated SL designers committing items to this event and the only thing missing is YOU. Will you please join us?

Strike.A.Pose.

The more I play with inworld photography for my blog, the more I realize it’s limitations. I can’t help not notice, my brain seldom thinks straight, it always seems just a little left of center actually, and I have a difficult time finding just the right pose! I was reading a blog the other day about how bloggers and models need to give more credit to the wonderful pose makers in Second Life. I am so guilty of seldom crediting them, by the time I snap the picture and write down what I am wearing, I forget to check the posemaker and pose I am using. Bad, Bad Cao.

So unrepentant, but willing to bend a little. I am happy my friend Antosperandeo of Behavior Body has come out with two sets of handbag poses! Both sets are completely about showing off the bag you are carrying, and each set includes, six poses plus six mirrored poses, but also has the poses in 3 sizes, so its 72 poses per set. There is also a preloaded pose stand, 2 “just pose” Huds, and 1 handbag in 9 different colors! Whew, exhausting just to write all of that!

I’d sneak by Behavior Body and grab the sets because they are perfect for runway, photography, or any setup where you don’t want your purse leaching through your body. I’ve shown you a few of the poses, and as you can see, gorgie! I love them all so much, I included the taxi for you! Taxi:

The Couturier's Dock *SoliDea FoliEs* has included the “Winter Flower” shoos that perfect match the hat and scarf released at Fashion Limited

This round of The Couturier’s Dock will be closing Sunday November 18th 2012 around 12PM SLT so don’t miss out! Many of the items have expired by selling their 35 units, but there is still some great items to be found! I think the “Winter Flower” shoos add an incredible dimension to the “Winter Flower hat and scarf”, don’t you? I simply added the still divine *SoliDea FoliEs* “Noir II” outfit to give it a hothouse haute couture feel. So take a minute and pop on over! Taxi:

For the holiday season it’s always nice to have items available for all types of different festivities. I wore the “Scarlett” romper with a T-shirt and simple boots, but it would look equally chic with a pair of leggings, short jacket or sweater, making it completely inline with a typical current fashion trend of wearing shorts with leggings. Imagine this adorable outfit with a nice winter cap, some woolly leggings and a trim little pair of ice skates. You’d add the oo-la-la to any upbeat activity.

I absolutely fell in love with both the White Widow skirt and the Mad’ nails. Both designers items are high quality and a perfect addition to any model or fashionista’s wardrobe as they both play well with others on the toughest of styling assignments.
