Waiting on the World to Change

Yep, it’s here. Another “date night.” I know, I know, I’ve been with Dr. Ben Dover for a while now, heck, the way my mom lays bridal magazines all around I am half affeared I will show up one day to find a shotgun and an off-white bridal gown waiting on me. For those who don’t know Taylor (his real name) he’s a doctor of the, um, colon-type and happens to be, or was, my mom’s doctor. Yeah, I know, the horror of it all! Those hands were where exactly? I talked a little about one of our first dates here. https://anchailinalainn.com/2013/07/20/the-devil-and-lil-cao-lionheart/ But heck, he’s used to me these days. I suppose when you see a woman post-surgery, you’ve probably seen her at her worst. At least I believe he thinks so, I might have a few Cao-ism’s saved up for later. Time will tell. He does repeatedly tell me he is thankful his mother had the gentile up-bringing to teach him to chew with his mouth shut because he was really happy when I quit bringing the spork to dinner with me.

I can’t help it, like the above picture, I’ve spent most my life running from relationships. You know that saying “I’ve had so many blind dates I should have gotten the dog for free?” I half think if I find a poster with this written on it, there will be my face right there, being kissed by the dog. I’ve been kissed by a lot of dogs, but I suppose there are a lot of women out there (and men) who are walking parallel lives with me. So my thought on this? Hang in there, just hang in there. But know, if you aren’t happy single, you won’t be happy in a relationship either. I think this is the crux of the issues of my past relationships, I wasn’t done growing into the me I would become. Mom? I think I am almost there.

Waiting on The World to Change

Take from? Sure, it’s why I blog. Life is a solo trip, but you’ll have lots of visitors. Some of them are long-term, most aren’t, but all will leave some form of impact that will make you the unique being that is you. Just always remember nine out of ten bad things you will worry about will never happen. However, nine out of ten bad things that will happen it won’t occur to you to worry about, you will be blind-sided. That’s life, what makes it yours, is how you deal with it.

  1. I think I want a T-shirt with the logo “Life is a solo trip, but you’ll have lots of visitors.” You should find a designer to go half-sies with you on it, Cao…

  2. Fab post and if you wear an outfit like that around Dr. Ben, he is likely to need a cardiologist. Indulge in all the joy your soul can handle with Dr. Ben/Taylor…you deserve it.<3 ❤

  3. ‘….That’s life, what makes it yours, is how you deal with it.’ My favourite sentence for the day/week/….. Going to pin it up on my wall :)) Love you for that <333

I'm done inconveniencing electrons, any thoughts? Come on, you know you have 'em, post them up here.
