Catalina Wine Mixer

“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” – Albert Einstein

Do you ever have one of those days when everything is just so mundanely normal that you are bored stiff but then all of a sudden, out of the blue, something very unexpected happens? We sadly live our lives, waste our imagination on things we suppose to be true. Just think how our world would be if we chucked these preconceived notions out the window and lived a life with no expectations a’tall. What if we chose not to believe what our future holds for us and just let life play out of its own accord? Not knowing what’s in your future can be a great life motivator. Because instead of plodding towards what you believe your future entails, you consciously wait for the things before you to unfold.

George Eliot once wrote, “It’s never too late to change what you might have been.” You can, you know. Change what you might of been. All you have to do is take a step. You have as many hours in your day as Albert Einstein, Steve Jobs, Helen Keller, and Leonardo Da Vinci, just to name a few. Imagine what our world would be like if they had accepted the notion they couldn’t change anything, that their destiny was set from the beginning and they couldn’t change the pattern of their lives. I can imagine, but I don’t really want to. I am glad they had the knowledge and self-love to not accept life as destiny, their fate, but instead chose to turn their backs on the encoded information and open their hearts to the world of infinite possibilities. Imagine a world where inspiration, creation, compassionate intelligence, aesthetic stimulation, achievement and service to others is the norm, not the exception.

The take from? Disney was right, all your dreams can come true, if you would only have the courage to pursue them. Be still and let life live, no one can “keep you down” except your self. Live life loudly with all of your senses and who knows, in the end what you thought would be a drudgerous monotonous hell may just turn out to be a Catalina wine mixer. Don’t know the term? A catalina wine mixer is when something turns out to be totally unexpected and awesome. Now, isn’t that how you want to look back at your life story? I don’t know about you, but I kind of do. So enjoy, endure, survive each moment as it comes to you in its proper sequence, in the form of pleasant little surprises. Just some thoughts for a high gravity Tuesday!

  1. Dreams are only dreams if one sleeps on imagination. if we wake up our dreams we can make them real…That’s how I feel anyway LOL. lovely post Cao Cao

      1. Yes, that is the point. LOL I feel like I keep evaluating and not really getting anywhere, cept that I’m not where I want to be. I’m so critical of myself all the time. It’s so exhausting!

      2. maybe its your dreams that are wrong? A little introspection might come in handy, but if not, well Rome wasn’t built in a day and who knows when it’s all said in done you may find what you thought you were dreaming wasn’t what you wanted a’tall but you sure love what you got instead. 😀

  2. very interesting read Cao, But what if that was the destiny all along for all those great men. Fate and Destiny is is hard for me to analyze to begin with but even if we change our present to create a different future, who is to say that was not the way it would be to begin with. See how easy I can confuse myself lol. Love you and you look adorable.

    1. I think tho, well lets take Einstein, he was a marginal student at best, some thought him an idiot even If he had just stayed in that “label” he wouldn’t have amounted to much. But by not accepting this fate he chose a different destiny for himself. Love you! xo

  3. Ohhhhh, little moo, that is what this whole gorgeous “thing” is with my husband…a Catalina wine mixer! Sooo unexpected and yet incredible on all levels…and it just keeps on getting better! ❤ ❤

    1. Hmmmmm…come to think on it…my whole adult life has been a Catalina wine mixer. I have enjoyed the wild ride…ups AND downs…nothing to fix here…and, since we’ve made it to the beach, just living life now as each day unfolds. I have a happy life companion that jumped on the trolley at the same time I did and we are enjoying the ride. ❤

I'm done inconveniencing electrons, any thoughts? Come on, you know you have 'em, post them up here.
